epiboost was featured internationaly and nationally
On the 18th of November 2024, the EPIBOOST coordinator, Joana Luísa Pereira, was at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland for a seminar on environmental epigenetics. She participated was a main juror in the evaluation committee of the PhD thesis by Floriane Tisserand, an excellent researcher developing her thesis on epigenetics, gene expression, metabolomics and phenotypic effects of a pesticide in Daphnia magna – keep tuned and do not miss her upcoming publications!. In parallel, Joana was invited to share her experience in environmental epigenetics research, particularly regarding the EPIBOOST project. Many students, researchers and professors were at the Geopolis to interact with Joana and to learn about the excellent research developed in the project. Very interesting discussions took place and new connections were established that will hopefully result in future collaborations. A big thank you to Nathalie Chèvre and Floriane Tisserand for this great opportunity to visit the University of Lausanne and disseminate EPIBOOST!
On the 22nd of November 2024, Joana was again on stage to talk about EPIBOOST. This time it was about the experience of the project concerning data management and interactions with the UAVR institutional repository DUnAs. It was during a workshop on data repository services, their functionalities and use by researchers, held during the 11st Data Management Forum, a Portuguese nationwide event organized yearly by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology through RCAAP – Portuguese Open Access Scientific Data Repositories. Many thanks are due to the organization of the workshop, especially to the UAVR team dedicated to DUnAs for this opportunity to share our experience to a large audience of data managers and researchers at the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu hosting the meeting.
