EPIBOOST associated this year to the Blue Science and Technology (BS&T) Summer Training by UGent as part of WP3 plans. The BS&T summer training happened from 3 to 14 July 2023, providing the participants with a remarkable opportunity to bridge between knowledge provided by higher education or research and the competence requirements in the Blue Economy sector. Ex-cathedra lectures, hands-on practical and multidisciplinary workshops and on-site visits concerning topics like oceans and human health, sustainable sea food, coastal engineering and Building with Nature, social innovation, maritime spatial planning and multi-use at sea.
The EPIBOOST researchers Silja Frankenbach, Ana Oliveira and Bruna Vieira were there and they found it an amazing opportunity to learn, gain competences and network with the best researchers and professionals in the field, as well as with other attendants from different countries. The EPIBOOST project was very well represented in and presented at the BS&T Summer Training.
